Creation of Tag The World Charity Organization
Tag The World Charity was created in 2006 out of a desire to allow individuals to wear their own personal story by wearing an engraved “tag.” We wanted to join hundreds of charities together for one main cause, thus it became, Tag The World Organization. Since there are hundreds of organizations for each cause we wanted to allow a donor to give to their specific cause. And by donating to TTW and receiving a “tag,” you can now pick the exact charity you want to support. So whether your story is cancer, environment, children, animals, or Africa, you can give to the exact charity you support. With a “tag,” you can then engraved with your own, “personal story,” and thus have a fashionable and trendy way to support a cause close to your heart and wear your story close to your heart.
Robert Parks-Valletta, founder and president of TTW has one such story.
“For the past 7 years I have been in and out of the hospital with my little brother Thomas. He has received 9 open-heart surgeries as a result of being born with disgorge syndrome. My “tag” has the initials of my little brother “TJP” on it as I wanted to be reminded of him and have my donation go towards a cause close to my heart. I realized from this experience that everyone has his or her own personal story and that one is not more important than the other, moreover, we all have a common bond through the things we support.”
These stories are the very things that mold us into who we are, who we want to become, and show us that life is sometimes a struggle we all go through. Tag the World carries the stories of millions, one “tag” at a time. Your personal stories can be engraved on one of the five tags; Cancer, Children, Animals, Environment, and Africa. These handcrafted “tags” came to fruition by the exclusive jeweler, Michael Barin.
We feel blessed to be able to share our passion and our story with you, and we look forward to seeing you wearing your “tag” and asking you what it means.
